This position plays an integral role in providing security and safety to all individuals accessing the hospital (staff, patients, clients and visitors). As a multicultural facility, the Security Guards must exhibit cultural sensitivity while ensuring that the safety of all individuals is maintained. This is a hands-on position requiring people to be able to: handcuff, restrain combative patients, and defuse violent or aggressive situations when they arise. Duties include but not limited to: Provide general security to the entire facility, including locking and unlocking doors, patrolling the facility and grounds, monitoring security cameras, enforcing parking regulations, issuing parking passes, tickets, lockers and keys, and processing payments/counting cash.
