Physical Rehabilitation Technician

Nursing home/home for the aged Tasks: Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Examine the patient. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Make decisions on tests and procedures. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise technical and support staff. Administer evaluative tests and procedures.
