Printing Press Operator

Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks: Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments. Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and quantities required. Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples. Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run. Set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Calibrate products using hand tools. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment Security and safety: Reference required Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced environment Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Ear plugs Personal suitability: Accurate. Excellent oral communication.
