Languages: English Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Sheet metal technology/sheetworking. Metal fabricator Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work setting: Installation. Various locations. Repair. On-site fabrication. Retrofit Tasks: Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
