JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Department Head of Respiratory Medicine and the designated Medical Director, the respirologist focuses on the study of the respiratory system and the diagnosis, management and prevention of respiratory diseases. The respirologist provides care to patients presenting respiratory symptoms or lung diseases of all origins, including chronic, uncomplicated or complex respiratory conditions and respiratory failure. This may include patients with an illness involving the upper or lower respiratory tract, lung parenchyma, pleura, mediastinum or lung circulation, or sleep disorders and respiratory drive.
