Water Treatment Operator

Salary: $25.74 - 29.22 per hour

Reporting to the Chief Operator and Utilities Supervisor, Water and Wastewater Treatment, this position performs a variety of maintenance, operational, and repair duties involving City water and wastewater pump stations and wastewater treatment systems. This hands-on position involves shift work, after-hours emergency response, and work in confined spaces and other challenging environments. Key Responsibilities:-Assist operations in maintenance and repair of equipment at sewage pump stations, water pump stations and the wastewater treatment and disposal system. -Various maintenance and cleaning including pesticide and Herbicide application.-Operate a variety of hand and power tools.-Operate and maintain the skid steer loader and attachments.-Respond to City infrastructure emergencies as required.-Adhere to the safety regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety policy.-Assist in inventory control of equipment and supplies.-Assume the duties of an operator when required. Qualificat
