Languages: English Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience Experience: 5 years or more Work site environment: Noisy Tasks: Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces. Inspect final products. Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Test prototypes and production tools. Instruct apprentices. Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Realize machine castings to make metal molds, core boxes and precisely shaped models. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
