Construction Estimator

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Languages: English Education: Bachelor's degree. Construction engineering Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work setting: Estimating Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms. Utilize quantity take-off procedures. Advise on tendering procedures. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet. AutoCAD. MS Excel.
