JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Manager of Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR), the Supervisor provides leadership and direction in the daily operations of the department to ensure policies, procedures, and professional standards are adhered to and quality customer service is provided. Supervises Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians. Ensures provision of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation on both a hospital and region wide basis. Functions as a key member in the efficient operation of MDR, the Operating Room and other support areas, as an integral part of the health care team. QUALIFICATIONS High School Graduation or successful completion of GED. Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development. CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certification in Medical Device Reprocessing required. Must have demonstrated supervisory skills. Supervisory training and/or experience will be considered as an asset. Knowledge in medical terminology an asset. Must have a minimum 2 years'
