Dusty Work setting: Various locations Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation. Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Operate computer controlled equipment. Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
